Who we are
PartyIRL (“we,” “us”) is a product operated by Yolk Labs. This policy covers partyirl.com and the PartyIRL web and mobile applications (together, the “Services”). It explains what we collect and what we do with it. Contact us anytime at support@yolklabs.com.
What we collect
- Email address — when you join the waitlist.
- IP address and timestamp — recorded with waitlist signups and used briefly for spam and abuse prevention (rate limiting).
That’s it. We don’t run third-party ad trackers or analytics cookies on this site.
How we use it
- To tell you when PartyIRL launches in your city and share occasional pre-launch updates.
- To keep bots and spam out of the waitlist.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
Where it lives
Data is stored on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Emails you receive from us are sent via AWS as well. AWS acts as our service provider and doesn’t use your data for its own purposes.
How long we keep it
Waitlist data is kept until launch communications wind down or you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. Rate-limiting records expire automatically within hours.
Your choices
Want off the list, or want to know what we have on you? Email support@yolklabs.com and we’ll handle it promptly — deletion requests included. Every marketing email we send will also include an unsubscribe link.
When the app launches
The PartyIRL app will collect more than the waitlist does, and only what the product needs:
- Account info — name, handle, email, and an optional photo.
- Event activity — events you create or join, RSVPs, and door check-ins (a check-in records that you attended a specific event at a specific time).
- Location — approximate location, only when you use discovery features and only with your permission.
- AI event creation — the text you type to create an event is processed by AI models running on AWS to build your draft. We don’t use your prompts to train models.
- Push tokens — so we can send notifications you’ve opted into.
Event pages show your RSVP and check-in status to the host and other guests — that visibility is the point of the product. We’ll update this policy with specifics before the app ships.
Kids
The Services aren’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Business transfers
PartyIRL is expected to grow. If it becomes its own company, or if Yolk Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity under this same policy (or one at least as protective).
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. Material changes to how we handle waitlist data will be announced by email.
